Membership Information

NCL is a mother-daughter membership organization, the purpose of which is to foster the mother-daughter relationship in a philanthropic organization committed to community service, leadership development and cultural experience.

NCL is designed as a small group leadership program whose membership is in part based on the availability of space in the daughter’s grade level. Keeping the grade levels small is key to the program’s success. For membership eligibility, the daughter (Ticktocker) must be in grades 7th, 8th or 9th the following September. Openings in all classes above 7th grade are at the discretion of the Chapter, and largely based on attrition.

Additional specifics of membership in the Lake Sammamish Chapter include:

  • Applications for membership shall be accepted only during the annual membership selection period. This period runs from November to January.  You will be able to apply on-line during this period.  The closing date for membership is January 15th.
  • Members shall reside within the Lake Sammamish Chapter boundaries (Sammamish, Issaquah, Redmond, Fall City, and North Bend).
  • Final selection shall be made by the Chapter Board of Directors upon the recommendation of the Chapter Membership Committee. When classes are full we use a simple draw method to determine selection.
  • Invitations will be sent in February and responses received by March for participation in the following year – which runs from April 1st to March 31st.

Prospective members need to be sponsored by a current member of the National Charity League, Inc. (NCL) Chapter they wish to join. If you know someone in NCL, talk to her about her Chapter’s boundaries, membership obligations and membership drive timeline. If you do not know someone in NCL, Inc. you are invited to submit the following form.
